✅ APRIL SCHEDULE: The next SERVSAFE Certified Food Protection Manager Course in Anchorage takes place on April 18, 2026 (Saturday).

Registration is required ten (10) days prior to the class. Class begins at 8:30am (sharp) and ends at approximately 5:00pm. Lunch will be for 30-minutes and it will be a working lunch, please bring your lunch. Additional breaks will be provided by the instructor.

Price includes textbook, review course and exam, there will be no refunds, once you have registered. Students should arrive 15 minutes prior to class.

Job Overview: ​Alaska Hospitality Retailers is hiring a Certified TIPS® Instructor to
conduct mandatory alcohol server training using the TIPS® for On-Premise curriculum. ​
The role focuses on ensuring compliance with Alaska Title 4 regulations and preparing
staff to prevent intoxication, underage sales, and drunk driving. ​ Training and support
will be provided.

Key Requirements:

  • TIPS® Trainer Certification: Must be certified by Health Communications, Inc.
    (HCI) to teach and proctor exams (certification assistance available). ​
  • Knowledge of Alaska Liquor Laws: Familiarity with Alaska AMCO regulations,
    including certification grace periods and pre-hire requirements for Anchorage. ​
  • Strong Engagement Skills: Ability to lead interactive, in-person training
    sessions in line with AMCO standards. ​
  • Materials Management: Responsible for ordering and managing official TIPS
    participant manuals and exams.

If you have never completed the initial live webinar class and don’t currently have a certification card, you are NOT eligible to register for this online renewal exam and you will need to take the Alaska Responsible Serving live classroom webinar.

Process for Renewing your Responsible Serving Card:

In order to complete this course, you must provide a picture of both:

   1.  Your government-issued legal identification (picture ID)

   2.  Your current certificate

  • After you sign up, you will be sent login instructions. 
  • After logging in, you will be prompted to submit a photo of your picture ID and current certificate, (both required).
  • There is an interaction period with the instructor
  • Rserving support has to manually approve your current certification and your picture ID.
  • After manual approval, students can open the test one time.
  • If a student passes, they will instantly have their certificate, and a wallet card is automatically added to the queue for mailing.
  • If a student does not pass the test, student will be required to pay again, and retake the initial live classroom webinar session
